Adam McKay likely to direct a Phase 3 film for Marvel
Kevin Feige has been discussing some of the finer points of Marvel’s Phase 3 plans, and has revealed that Adam McKay is likely to take the reins of one of its forthcoming projects. He just hasn’t decided which one yet…
McKay played himself into Marvel’s good books by doing a rewriting job on Ant-Man following Edgar Wright’s sudden departure. And while that film was eventually directed by Peyton Reed, it seems that McKay will be stepping behind the camera sooner rather than later.
“Adam McKay is in the running for everything,” said Feige to Collider. “Adam McKay is a great, great writer and director. He did an amazing pass on the Ant-Man draft with Paul Rudd for us, and I didn’t know him before then.”
“We got to know him through that and liked him very much, and have met with him a number of times trying to find something else, so we’ve talked about a lot of characters with him.” Watch this space…
