Adam Sandler sets new record for Razzie nominations

The nominations for the 2012 Razzie awards have been announced, with Adam Sandler up for no less than eleven of the unwanted gongs.

Sandler’s haul smashes Eddie Murphy’s previous record for most nominations, with the Norbit star racking up five back in 2007. Sandler’s massive haul is largely down to his dual-role in “comedy” train-wreck Jack And Jill , whilst his production credit on Bucky Larson also helped drag him down.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon was another heavily-bashed title, with Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whitely both singled out for their acting “achievements”, alongside fellow human players Ken Jeong and Patrick Dempsey.

The Razzies will be doled out on 1 April 2012, a rather apposite date for a ceremony recognising some of Hollywood’s most foolish efforts. In the meantime you can check out the full list of dishonour, below…
