Another day, and another story about a significant Marvel cameo, with Collider reporting that Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter will make an appearance in Ant-Man .
The report cites a casting call from Project Casting , looking for “an experienced stand-in for Hayley Atwell” to do a day’s work in “November on a Sunday”.
Sounds as though Atwell will only be making a brief appearance then, although the need for a stand-in might indicate her involvement in an action sequence of some kind.
In any case, it will be nice to see Agent Carter in the main Marvel Universe again, even if only fleetingly. And if her own series goes well, who knows what the future may bring…
Directed by Peyton Reed and co-starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man will open in the UK on 17 July 2015.
