Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa has released a brand new still online, featuring North Norfolk Digital’s favourite chat-vendor dashing through a corridor brandishing a shotgun.
The new film will see Alan caught in the midst of a hostage situation when a fellow broadcaster loses his rag in spectacular fashion.
Usually it’s Alan suffering the work-based meltdown, but this time our cardigan-sporting hero is simply caught in the crossfire. Good to see he’s not going down without a fight, mind…
“We've tried to give it a story that justifies it going on the big screen,” said Armando Iannucci in an interview with Digital Spy last year. “But it's not Alan goes to America or Alan goes to space or anything like that. We've tried to preserve the intimacy and the localism of it.”
Directed by Declan Lowney and co-starring Steve Coogan, Sean Pertwee and Colm Meaney, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa will open in the UK on 7 August 2013.
