Alcon makes public Blade Runner 2 offer to Harrison Ford
"We would be honoured, and we are hopeful"
A Blade Runner sequel has supposedly been in the offing for years, but Alcon is looking to move things forward, with a very public offer to original star Harrison Ford.
Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have collaborated on a new script, to be directed by Ridley Scott, and it seems that the next step is to get Ford locked down to return.
"We believe that Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have crafted with Ridley Scott an extraordinary sequel to one of the greatest films of all time," said Alcon co-founders Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.
"We would be honoured, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project," continued the duo, in a joint statement that represents a highly unusual strategy of public courtship.
No word has yet emerged from Ford's representatives, with the actor currently beginning filming on Star Wars: Episode VII . Your move, Harrison...
