ALF The Movie Is On Its Way
Sardonic alien sitcom star to return with original voice
The grumpy puppet alien star of ’80s US sitcom ALF (which stood for Alien Life Form) is set for a big screen return in CG form in a movie from the producer of The Smurfs film.
Every part of that sentence fills us with here at SFX with abject fear, but should please the small group of people who always mention ALF whenever there’s a forum thread or comments thread about potential remakes. Especially as The Hollywood Reporter reckons that the actor who provided ALF’s voice in the TV show, Paul Fusco, may well be performing the same duties for the film.
The project will be live action mixed with CGI. Jordan Kerner, who produced The Smurfs for Sony Animation, will produce ALF alongside Fusco and series creator Tom Patchett.
