Alice: Madness Returns releasing June 14 - your summer just got stabbier
EA announces an earlier-than-expected Alice: Madness Returns release date at GDC
According to CVG, EA has confirmed that Alice: Madness Returns will release June 14 for PC, 360 and PS3. We had previously expected a later release date, so the news that madness will be returning this summer fills our hearts with a rush of red, viscous joy - the same sort of joy we plan to spill lots of this June.
Madness Returns is American McGee's answer to, "Hey man, why don't you make an Alice follow-up already?" The game takes place eleven years after the eleven-year-old PC original, American McGee's Alice, and continues the story of the troubled girl with a big knife.
"It's an actual narrative sequel. It finds Alice living in London and now confronting really the mystery of what happened, as opposed to the damage related to it - though there is still a lot of psychological damage as you move into Wonderland, you'll notice," said McGee in a recent MSNBC interview.
"This game is much more like a murder mystery, it%26rsquo;s her going back into her past again, using her mind as a tool, using Wonderland as sort of a conduit into her mind, and trying to piece back together the events that lead to the death of her family."
