Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector's Edition is cooler than you think
Mind-numbing terror sold separately
Back in our day (read: 2003) we barely even had special editions. At best you'd get a company who would release a game encased in tin, throw in a few terrible bonus features and that would be all you got for your fifteen extra dollars.
These days awesome collector's editions are par for the course. Gearbox, specifically, seems to have a knack for CE's as evidenced by the awesome Borderlands 2 CE. Now, Gearbox has unveiled the new CE for Aliens: Colonial Marines, and it doesn't disappoint. Below you can find an image of everything that's included.
In it you'll find a copy of the game, iron-on patches, a schematic of the USS Sephora, "recon photos", a USCM graduation certificate, a replica xeno hive game case, and the pièce de résistance: a replica power loader figurine fighting a xenomorph. But they're not done yet! You'll also be able to play as several characters from the films.
All of this will run you $100, which isn't too bad if you're into this sort of thing. It sounds like a lot, but after the $60 cost of the game it's just $40 for a bunch of cool items which would cost you quite a bit more on ThinkGeek.
