Aliens: Colonial Marines Wii U version canceled
Sega nixes the panned shooter's overdue port
The Wii U version of the year's worst-received game is over, man. Sega today told GameSpot that work on Aliens: Colonial Marines for Nintendo's console is no more.
"Sega can confirm that the Wii U sku of Aliens: Colonial Marines is no longer in development," the publisher said.
Colonial Marines was scheduled to hit Wii U by the end of March, but its universally panned release cooled interest in the long-overdue title. Port developer Demiurge Studios was nonchalant in its response to GameSpot.
"We were very sorry to hear about the cancellation of Aliens for Wii U. It's business-as-usual here at Demiurge Studios. We are focused on making Shoot Many Robots for mobile kick ass and we've got another unannounced game in the works that we can't wait to unveil!"
In space, no one can hear the bang or the whimper.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.

I've seen enough: Assassin's Creed Shadows will beat Black Flag as my favorite AC game as Ubisoft says it lets you "Naruto run" as the "fastest Assassin" it's ever made
