Battlefield 1 may be the younger, sexier model that everyone's talking about, but EA has a way to make sure you don't forget about good old Battlefield 4: free stuff. From now until September 19, all five Battlefield 4 expansion packs are free to download.
China Rising, Second Assault, Naval Strike, Dragon's Teeth, and Final Stand should appear as free downloads on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4, giving you 20 more maps than the base game, plus more vehicles, weapons, and gear. Each expansion also has a community mission tied to it, meaning there are objectives to complete which yield extra-rare or special rewards.
It's a pretty substantial amount of stuff, and sounds like a good way to get a feel for the flow of this series before Battlefield 1 arrives on October 21.
