Bears, cyborgs and "someone familiar" - all the MGS 5 info tweeted from the preview event
Gamespot editor Pete Brown's tweeted out some of the most detailed info. Here's his run down of his time spent in the game.
Game Informer's Matt Kato also broke down some of his experience.
I'm GamesRadar's Managing Editor for guides, which means I run GamesRadar's guides and tips content. I also write reviews, previews and features, largely about horror, action adventure, FPS and open world games. I previously worked on Kotaku, and the Official PlayStation Magazine and website.
In case you missed it, there was a Metal Gear Solid 5 event in Los Angeles yesterday. Our own David Roberts was there, along with selected members of the press, and while the event is embargoed until June 9th, plenty of info was tweeted out.
From that we have missions names, some kind of weapon called 'the Honey Bee', a research system to unlock gear, dynamic weather changing gameplay, a sense of scale (huge), the reveal that there are cyborg super soldiers (controlled by "someone familiar") and a bear. I am all about the bear. From this point in this game will be nothing until I Fulton the bear to my own private Mother Base zoo full of bears.
Anyhoo, the gallery up has some longer tweet sequences breaking down more of the game info, and here'a few picking out some interesting bits:
