Alpha Protocol announced
KOTOR II devs deliver the goods
Aliens: Colonial Marines isn’t the only special project developer Obsidian has going for next-gen gaming. Alpha Protocol, the spy-thriller in the works with Sega of America, is an RPG that aims to raise the bar in interactive next-gen gaming.
“Alpha Protocol blends Obsidian’s knack for intricate story, engrossing characters, and significant character advancement with fast-paced modern combat,” said Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment.
Players take the role of Michael Thorton, a man who understands the price of loyalty all too well. To accomplish Thorton’s goal of saving the world, players must make tough decisions that alter the course of the game – and when it’s Obsidian at the wheel, we know they aren’t just talking out of their ass. Dark Side lightning, anyone?
Alpha Protocol is slated for an early 2009 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Keep your eyes glued to GamesRadar for more on this game as it develops.
