Prime Day Kindle deals are putting bundles first this year, but with only a few more hours of the sale it's time to hustle. You'd think these offers would be easy, what with the Kindle belonging to Amazon, but it turns out there's nuance to getting this year's offers right.

Stocking up on cases, chargers, and other accessories alongside your Kindle is the better proposition than going solo with your new e-Reader. The cheapest comes in at $149, with a case included, but you can run up the full price range to more premium options and wireless charging docks as well.

I've been covering deals across Prime Day and Black Friday for years now, and am a Kindle user myself for the majority of my reading because the form factor is so easy to hold for binge sessions and to take on the go. Often, I even bounce back and forth between physical, digital, and audiobook versions of a single story. Make your own rules! I'm here to make sure you get the best deals possible on your Kindle, whether you're jumping into ebooks for the first time, or looking to upgrade. Stick around, as we'll be updating as new offers are found.

The Prime Day catch is that you need to be a Prime member to get the deals, which means this event's Kindle deals require access. But, there's a way around that if you're not one already. Grab a 30-day trial, and you're in (then, just cancel before you get charged).

Kindle Paperwhite 16GB Bundle
Record low price
Save $73
Kindle Paperwhite 16GB Bundle : was $222.97 now $149.97 at Amazon

A power adapter and a plant-based leather cover round out this package for the great, base Paperwhite Kindle model. With a 7-inch screen and backlight, this is a great e-reader. This is the cheapest I've seen this particular bundle, too.

Buy it if:

✅ You don't need a color screen
✅ You want some accessories
✅ You want a backlight

Don't buy it if:

❌ 16GB isn't enough
❌ You want to read comics

UK: £224.97 £189.97 at Amazon

Kindle Colorsoft 16GB Bag Bundle
Record low price
Save $160
Kindle Colorsoft 16GB Bag Bundle: was $329.98 now $169.98 at Amazon

The Kindle Colorsoft deals keep coming, and this is the lowest price I've seen for this bag bundle as well, which is perfect for taking your color-screen Kindle on the go. Not bad for only ten dollars-ish more than the base model.

Buy it if:

✅ You want a color display
✅ You want to read while traveling

Don't buy it if:

❌ You don't need color

Kindle Colorsoft 16GB Essentials Bundle
Record low price
Save $134
Kindle Colorsoft 16GB Essentials Bundle: was $306.97 now $172.97 at Amazon

This is the basic Kindle Colorsoft, but with a power adapter and a fabric cover, which you'd likely need if you want to keep it in good condition anyway. Yet another new low price for a Kindle bundle. Seeing the pattern?

Buy it if:

✅ Color reading matters to you
✅ You don't have accessories already
✅ You want a power adapter specific to the Kindle

Don't buy it if:

Kindle Colorsoft 32GB Signature Edition Bundle: was $367.97 now $244.97 at Amazon

Making use of the Signature Edition's unique features, this comes with a wireless charging dock as well as as a plant-based leather cover. This is the cheapest I've seen this bundle too, and it's a great way to get kitted out for just a bit more than the base hardware price.

Buy it if:

✅ You want a wireless charging dock
✅ You need a color screen
✅ 32GB storage matters to you

Kindle Scribe 32GB Essentials Bundle

Kindle Scribe 32GB Essentials Bundle: was $609.97 now $444.97 at Amazon

The big discounts on Kindle Scribe continue, and this is the cheapest this bundle has been. Still, while the essential kits with case and charger is nice, this does make it a lot more expensive than the base model, so consider your accessory options here.

Buy it if:

✅ You just want the default accessories easily
✅ You want to take notes
✅ You'd like an 11-inch screen

Don't buy it if:

❌ You'd rather a color display
❌ The base unit suits your needs

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 64GB Essentials Bundle
Save $215
Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 64GB Essentials Bundle: was $789.97 now $574.97 at Amazon

Yet another huge Kindle Scribe saving for the Colorsoft edition of this note-taking Kindle, bundled with a charger and big folio cover that fits its 11-inch color display. This feels like a better saving than the non-color bundle offer, but it's still pricey, so it's for the note diehards or those who really a massive e-ink screen.

Buy it if:

✅ You need additional accessories
✅ You want to take color notes
✅ 11-inch display appeals

Don't buy it if:

❌ You'd rather have the reMarkable
❌ 11-inches is too big and you don't need color

Prime Day Standalone Kindle deals

Kindle 16GB
Save $25
Kindle 16GB: was $109.99 now $84.99 at Amazon

The basic Kindle still gets the job done and then some. This is still the newest model, which is a big step up on older base versions seeing as it has, for instance, an adjustable front light. If standard reading is all you need, this is well worth it. Comes in black and matcha colors.

Buy it if:

✅ You just want to read regular books
✅ You don't need a color screen (for comics, say)
✅ 16GB storage is enough

Don't buy it if:

❌ You want the features of pricier models
❌ 6-inches feels too small

Kindle Paperwhite 16GB
Save $35
Kindle Paperwhite 16GB: was $159.99 now $124.99 at Amazon

The iconic Paperwhite is back down to its lowest price yet. This upgrade's inch bigger screen makes a difference, and the broader backlight is more comfortable than the standard model's front-light. Sure, this only has 16GB storage, but most ebooks are tiny anyway and this will store more than enough at once outside of audiobooks or reading books with big images.

Buy it if:

✅ 7-inches feels like the right size
✅ Normal book reading is your priority
✅ You want a better backlight, not a front-light

Don't buy it if:

❌ The base model better suits you

Kindle Paperwhite 32GB Signature Edition: was $199.99 now $144.99 at Amazon

Almost the same as above, except this is the lowest price I've seen this 32GB model yet by about five dollars. Double the storage for just a bit more cash is worth it (especially in this hardware economy). Unlike the base Paperwhite, this has wireless charging, and an auto-adjusting light sensor.

Buy it if:

✅ The larger storage appeals
✅ You don't need a color screen
✅ You want the backlight

Don't buy it if:

❌ 16GB is enough and you don't want the wiggle room

Kindle Colorsoft 16GB

Save $90
Kindle Colorsoft 16GB: was $249.99 now $159.99 at Amazon

This is the lowest price yet on the newest model of the Kindle Colorsoft (and the best solo saving in the range), the color screen version of the Kindle family. With a 7-inch screen, the form factor is just like a Paperwhite, and comes with the same features except, obviously, this is in color. Neat to see full book covers, but especially cool if you want to read comics. And, it's still e-ink technology!

Buy it if:

✅ You want a color screen
✅ You want to read comics

Don't buy it if:

❌ You only want to read in black and white anyway

Reading is good!

Buy it if:

✅ You want a dedicated reading device for your kids, without iPad-like distraction apps nearby
✅ You don't want to worry about children breaking a regular Kindle model
✅ Waterproofing matters

The Signature Edition of the Colorsoft comes with the same additional features as the Paperwhite's: wireless charging, an auto-adjusting light sensor, and 32GB of storage. Otherwise, this is in color, and still 7-inches. It's a big price difference, but if you're big on comics and such, then the color screen is a big differentiator. This was ten dollars cheaper in October, though.

Buy it if:

✅ A color screen matters to you

The Kindle Scribe range is having some of the biggest discounts this Prime Day, and this standard model is cheaper than its ever been. This is an e-ink notebook, so you can annotate your books, edit documents, or just scribble down thoughts all over its 11-inch screen. This version isn't color, but does come with a pen.

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 32GB

Save $150
Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 32GB: was $629.99 now $479.99 at Amazon

With a $150 saving, this is a huge discount on this color version of the Kindle Scribe, the notebook model that you can write on (and still use to read). Color features actually get a big boost with this model, as color-coding notes is a bit of a game-changer. With 32GB storage and an 11-inch screen, this is great for comics and magazines too. Also comes with a stylus pencil.

Buy it if:

✅ You want an 11-inch, color screen
✅ The ability to take notes is desirable

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 64GB
Record low price
Save $160
Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 64GB: was $679.99 now $519.99 at Amazon

A slightly higher value saving than the above model (and a record low here), but this is still overall the most expensive Kindle out there. That's because of the hefty 64GB storage, 11-inch screen, and advanced features of the Scribe series that allows it to double as a notebook. This upgrade is all about the extra memory, though.

Buy it if:

✅ You want the Scribe features
✅ 64GB storage rather than 32GB makes a big difference to you

Don't buy it if:

❌ You don't need that much storage
❌ You don't want to take any notes

Prime Day Kindle deals: FAQ

When do Prime Day Kindle deals start?

The first batch of Prime Day Kindle deals in 2026 will arrive on June 23 and run until June 26th, starting and ending strictly at midnight in your region. The event will be active in the UK and US, and although Kindle deals tend to be uniform across both territories, you don't always see exact equivalents. Occassionally, Early Bird offers that happen in the week leading up to Prime Day can include Kindles, so bear that in mind if you want to get the absolute best offers you can before stock starts to get competitive.

Do you need a Prime membership for Prime Day Kindle deals?

Although a lot of Prime Day deals don't turn out to be Prime exclusive, any deals on Amazon Products like Fire TVs or Kindles are usually locked behind a Prime subscription paywall. Having said that, take a look at the trial below to try and skirt around paying for it.

What about the competition?

Someone notetaking on a reMarkable Paper Pure tablet

Kindles aren't the only E-reader tablets out there, and alternatives could offer you a better experience, depending on what you're looking for. Particularly if you're interested in the Kindle Scribe, the reMarkable is a solid option. There are some great alternatives to regular E-readers too, and they might save you some money.

reMarkable 2 / Paper Pro / Move / Paper Pure

reMarkable 2 / Paper Pro / Move / Paper Pure

The reMarkable devices are actually fairly simplistic devices, but that's by design. If you struggle to keep focus, or you're mainly attracted to the Kindle Scribe for its note-taking and writing experience, then this fancy bit of tech might be a godsend to you. These very rarely see discounts, so don't expect competitor price matches during Prime Day, but they're alternatives to consider and keep an eye on if you aren't married to Kindle as a brand.

Kobo Clara

Kobo Clara

The Kobo line of E-readers from Rakuten has long been one of Kindle's biggest competitors. The Clara offers similar features to the Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite, in that it's got a ComfortLight screen, touch display, and it's waterproof. It's found on sale fairly frequently, so it might be a good alternative for those on a tight budget.
