American Horror Story: Asylum New Pics
Is the new season going to be delving into sci-territory?
American Horror Story: Asylum co creator Ryan Murphy has hinted to Entertainment Weekly that there may be a sci-fi twist to the new season… although it could all be a trick of the mind. After all, the events take place in an institution for the criminally insane run by a priest and a group of nuns, so you can’t take everything on face value.
"I don't think people tune in to the show because they want My Dinner With Andre,” says Murphy. “I think they want to be scared. I'm just writing what I would like to see. I'm scared of aliens and I'm scared of Nazis and I'm scared of nuns. So it's the perfect stew of horror and fear."
Hang on. Rewind. Did he say aliens?
Murphy goes on to explain that one of the patients, Kit (Evan Peters), "is committed after being accused of murdering his wife, though he claims she was abducted – and not by humans."
Okay, so he’s probably not quite in touch with reality. But we wouldn’t put it past this show to have aliens turn up halfway through…
American Horror Story returns to the US on 17 October and will air in the UK shortly after on FX. [via Blastr ]
