Anarchy Reigns out January 8 in N. America, January 11 elsewhere
Platinum Games' online brawler may actually get out the door this time
Anarchy Reigns, the oft-delayed online brawler from Bayonetta developer Platinum Games, finally has a solid release date. Sega announced today that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title will arrive on January 8, 2013 in North America and January 11 in Europe.
Anarchy Reigns serves up a heaping helping of Platinum's signature frenetic action, and is a pseudo-sequel to the critically lauded but commercially unsuccessful Wii exclusive MadWorld. The game features several competitive and cooperative online multiplayer modes, as well as multiple single-player campaigns in an open world.
Originally slated for a Fall 2011 release, Anarchy Reigns' launch suffered multiple setbacks as Sega struggled to steady its company-wide trajectory. The game launched in July in Japan and has been finished but left without a release date since May.
