And Encounters makes three

We already knew about Star Trek Legacy and Tactical Assault - but Bethesda recently (and quietly) posted a new section on its Trek website, one for another game called Star Trek Encounters. While details are slim, the site does say Encounters will be an arcade-style shoot 'em up focusing on ship-to-ship combat. Up to two players will be able to choose from 60 different ships and every major alien race worth mentioning in versus and co-op gameplay modes. Solo trekkers will also be able to play through 20 episodic missions, ignoring diplomacy and firing at will.

Not content to sit with any one era, the game will span the entire series and launch in September for PS2, just in time for the franchise's 40th anniversary. For more screenshots, hit the images tab up above, and while you're at it, check out Bethesda's official Encounterspage.
