Andy Serkis character in Star Wars revealed
We heard his dulcet tones in the first teaser, and now the identity of Andy Serkis’ character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens has finally been unveiled. Serkis plays Supreme Leader Snoke. While that’s the extent of the character information, his alliance could swing either way. Is he the leader of the First Order, or the Resistance? Judging by that eerie voiceover it’s highly likely he’s on the dark side...
StarWars.Com dropped the news as part of an in-depth look at photographer Annie Leibovitz - who snapped a series of cast photos for Vanity Fair including this one. If you had your hopes pinned on Serkis delivering another mo-cap role then you’re in luck; in this first image he’s decked out in the type of performance capture garb he often dons for his unique turns.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18, 2015.
