Ant-Man gets an official release date
Edgar Wright’s film set for November 2015
Marvel has finally bitten the bullet with regards to Edgar Wright’s long-planned Ant-Man movie , with the film officially slated to hit US screens on 6 November 2015.
Wright will begin work on the film following the completion of The World’s End , his latest collaboration with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, allaying fears that the project was set to be shelved indefinitely.
Wright had previously announced that he and Joe Cornish were still working on a script, and the three year window before the film’s release should give them plenty of time to lick it into shape.
The story will follow the adventures of Henry Pym, a talented scientist who devises a substance that allows him to drastically reduce his size. He might not be as imposing as the Hulk, but he certainly has his moments.
The film will follow The Avengers 2 by a couple of months (making it part of Phase Three?), so can we expect Marvel to tease the character in their next super team-up? We’ll keep our fingers crossed…
