Anton Yelchin joins The Beaver
He'll play Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson's son
Star Trek's Anton Yelchin has been added to the cast of dark comedy The Beaver.
The film already boasts Jodie Foster (starring and directing) and Mel Gibson in the story of a man (Gibson) who deals with crushing depression buy wearing a beaver hand puppet.
Unsurprisingly, this doesn't impress his wife (Foster) or his son (Yelchin), the latter of whom begs his mother to ask for a divorce.
Yelchin did solid work in Trek and even managed to make a decent stab at a young Kyle Reese in Terminator Salvation, so we've got high hopes for him, even up against the likes of old hands JF and Gibbo.
The script, which was written by Kyle Killen and was the top of Hollywood's "Blacklist" - the ranking of the top unproduced scripts - in December, will go before the cameras as soon as everyone has space in their schedules.
