Arnold Schwarzenegger will face the living dead in Maggie
Arnie signs on to produce and star in zombie thriller
If the words “Arnie vs. zombies” have your geek senses tingling, then prepare to get excited, as Variety is reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger will produce and star in upcoming undead thriller, Maggie .
Arnie will play a devoted father living through a zombie holocaust, who faces his worst nightmare when he discovers his daughter has become infected, and is becoming a member of the shambling horde.
That’s pretty much all we know so far in terms of plot, but as high-concept hooks go, “Arnie fights the undead” is more than enough to sell us on the idea!
Advertising director Henry Hobson will direct the film from a script by John Scott III, with Arnie currently the only starring name attached. Chloë Grace Moretz has previously been in line to play the daughter, but dropped out of the role some time ago.
Production on the film will get underway in the autumn, before Schwarzenegger begins work on The Expendables 3 .
