Former Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett have been commissioned by Activision and Infinity Ward to produce exclusive entertainment for the premium 'check-me-out-I'm-totally-hardcore' Call of Duty Elite online service.
Bateman (aka Michael Bluth,co-star ofThe Change-Up) and Arnett (aka George Oscar 'Gob' Bluth,leading man in the TV showRunning Wilde) will create original video content under the banner of their studio,DumbDumb Productions.
“I consider myself a gamer,” said Arnett, who provided additional voice work for Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2. “When you look at the time spent gaming, versus other entertainment outlets whether it’s watching TV or watching movies; for me, I probably spend more time gaming. I want my video games to be entertaining. You realize that video games are a real outlet that needs to be taken seriously.”
Arnett, who also is reported to be good buddies with a number of Infinity Ward developers, will be previewing DumbDumb's custom made Elite contentat this weekend'sCall of Duty XP festivalin Playa Vista, California. The event will feature a $1 million dollar Call of Duty tournament, an epic paintball match, sneak previews, and loads of gaming with proceeds going to theCall of Duty Endowmentcharity fund. Never-nudes arewelcome to attend, but encouraged to bring a change of cutoffs.
