Arrow Awarded A Full Season Order After Just 2 Episodes
The Vampire Diaries also doing well, but Beauty And The Beast not looking too healthy
Arrow has hit the target as far as its US network is concerned.
The CW has ordered a full season of 22 episodes of the new DC superhero-based show Arrow (inspired by Green Arrow) after just two episodes. But they were two episodes that achieved some amazing ratings for the network.
The premiere was watched by 4.02 million viewers and was the CW’s most-watched episode of anything in three years, and its highest rated drama bow since Nikita in 2010. Even more impressively, the show managed to hang onto most of its audience for the second episode, which was watched by 3.5 million.
The CW has also ordered three additional scripts of Beauty And The Beast , which premiered with a less impressive 2.8 million and dropped to 2 million for its second episode. Even the four-year-old The Vampire Diaries is looking far healthier than that (3.2 million for the season four premiere, 2.7 for episode two).
