Couple of days old now, but thought I'd blog it since I have a moment or two on my hands. You've no doubt seen the list by now ( here for instance), but for reference, the nominees for the coveted UK SF writing award are:
End of the World Blues (Jon Courtenay Grimwood, Gollancz)
Nova Swing (M John Harrison, Gollancz)
Hav (Jan Morris, Faber)
Oh Pure and Radiant Heart (Lydia Millet, Heinemann)
Gradisil (Adam Roberts, Gollancz)
Streaking (Brian Stableford, P.S. Publishing)
The outcome will be announced at a ceremony on Wednesday 2 May at the Sci-Fi-London Film Festival - official festival site link here . This year's triumphant writer will bag themselves £2007 and a commemorative bookend. You can read more about Sci-Fi-London in forthcoming issues of SFX, and we're the official media partner so you'll probably see some of the gang at festival events that week in May.
