The game is afoot! This month’s questions (sent to us by readers):
1. I'm looking for a film which possibly came out in the mid to late '90s. It was about men in black who were actually bad aliens who were possibly building some sort of portal to their planet. The leader of the men in black had a ponytail. There was a young good alien trying to stop them with the help of a human. I have a feeling Eric Roberts was in it but it isn't The Shadow Men. I would really appreciate it if you could help cos I've been looking for this film for years.
2. My wife has been bugging me for years trying to find out what film this is. For a description I'll hand over to her:
"Can you help me name this movie. 1970-1986, with a young boy from space. An old sheriff and a merry-go-round. Robots/aliens that are silver looking. The only line I can Remember is, 'Would you like this dance? No I would rather sit this one out.' And a woman/girl in a spaceship. Now I know I sound crazy but I have been looking for it for years and it's not all the usual movies. I know its from the US. HELP ME!"

3. I've had a couple (of what I think are TV movies for children) stuck in my head for ages. They were shown in the early/mid-'90s and I can't for the life of me remember what they are. I remember watching them as a child and they were definitely those sorts of "Goosebumps" types stories. It would be great if you could shed some light on these from my vague (apologies) descriptions below.
The first one is about a youngish girl and some sort of monster made out of rubbish (?) The only scene I can remember is her having a messy room and getting pulled under the bed, and then possibly becoming the monster or being chased by it...
The second is a bit more clear in my mind, it was a possesed piano (red I think) that at one point "eats" somebody's cat. It also kills a few other people, and also plays music by itself. I remember a scene in a school hall and it running someone down...
4. My foster dad told me about this comic book character in a comic who has never been identified with a name, nor was ever shown again. He had this cape that had access to all of the universes dimensions. He often pulled things from his cape when he needed it, and retreated into a dimension when he need a quick getaway. Any help?
Tricky, eh? Remember to send your answers or any questions you have to sfxperts@futurenet.com, marking the subject header I’m an SFXpert!
