Assassin's Creed III DLC trailer: The Tyranny of King Washington
An alternative version of history
Assassin's Creed III is getting new DLC in the shape of The Tyranny of King Washington, having had its pre-order bonus content already made available to season passers earlier this month. Wait a minute... King Washington? Yes, you read that right - this is an alternative version of historical events, allowing you to take on the role of the man tasked with bringing down George Washington in a version of history where the great man became a power-thirsty tyrant.
Ubisoft's description reads: "Driven insane with unlimited power, he has transformed the young United States into a despotic empire. After witnessing the death of his loved ones in his tribe at King Washington's hands, a hero will rise, calling upon the special abilities locked within his lineage, to seek justice and freedom for the people."
It's an interesting skew for a series that has always prided itself on its close historical accuracy (albeit with a few instances of poetic license along the way). However, platforms and release dates are still to be announced so look out for more on this one soon.

I've seen enough: Assassin's Creed Shadows will beat Black Flag as my favorite AC game as Ubisoft says it lets you "Naruto run" as the "fastest Assassin" it's ever made
Ubisoft had to "retool" the mobile game lore for Assassin's Creed Shadows, with a brand new modern narrative that "will develop over time"
