Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag gameplay trailer
First in-game footage of third-person buccaneerer
Very little poses a threat to assassin-pirate Captain Edward Kenway of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Ships crumble under his cannonfire, rival sailors fall like stalks of sugar cane before his whirling blades and flintlock, and port-dwelling nobles are easy pickings for his hidden blades. But sharks, as you'll see in this first gameplay trailer, are a problem.
While you're all amped up for buccaneering shenanigans, Ubisoft has also revealed exclusive limited edition "Black Island" content. This pack includes a new island to explore in search of a wrecked ship and its valuable equipment, new weapons, and multiplayer unlocks.
North American gamers can snag the content by pre-ordering at GameStop. UK assassins will find the content in the Uplay-exclusive Black Chest Edition and the GAME-exclusive Buccaneer Edition.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will release October 29 in the U.S. and November 1 in the U.K. on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It will also appear on PlayStation 4.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
