Assassin's Creed Syndicate looks to introduce a bevy of new features to the long-running franchise about secret societies battling throughout history, but one box you probably won't see ticked on the back of the package is something revealed this week by the Ubiblog: the ability to shoot and kill horses. Oof. PETA won't like this.
A new video from the Ubiblog shows how players being chased by horse-drawn carriages can shoot the animals pulling the cart once to make them run wildly, and again to kill them, creating major roadblocks and throwing any pursuers off your tail. It's a useful tactic, but I can't help but feel a little sad seeing it in action. Those digital horses don't deserve such a cruel fate. A fate that begins at 1:21, if you're so incline to skip ahead.
The rest of the video highlights things we already knew - which makes sense, given that it's the same demo from when got our hands on Assassin's Creed Syndicate earlier this month. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go hug my dogs and adopt a few horses.
