Black Friday QLED TV deals will soon return, are we're gearing up to find all the best quantum dot display discounts. If you've been deliberating on whether to pick up an OLED screen or a Quantum Dot alternative, offers on the latter may help sway you this November. Plus, with new models emerging on the scene, last year's favorites will likely drop to new record lows.

For the most part, the best gaming TV options available right now are either rocking a QLED or OLED panel. Out of the two, you're more likely to find screens with Quantum Dot tech within Black Friday gaming deals more than organic LEDS. That's because they usually boast a lower MSRP, just like the Hisense 55" Class QD5 Series QLED, which sits below the $300 mark. Yes, there are plenty of OLED offers kicking around too, but discounts have a better chance of being deeper when the starting point is lower.

QLED TVs like the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED represent great value, especially with it already being under the $500 mark. Any Amazon-owned brand TVs are also likely to see further price cuts as Black Friday rears its head. Each Black Friday, Amazon tends to prioritize its own tech, so if you have your eyes on one of their QLED offerings, you should at least find something.

We're also already seeing a sea of discounts from Samsung. Offerings from its Neo Quantum Series like the Samsung 65-inch QN90D already have $800 off. Even its Frame TV line, like the 2002 model has $100 off its MSRP, which is a big deal for a known-pricey telly. These QLED TVs offer an alternative option for those aesthetically conscious tech lovers. However, if you want to grab its newer 2024 model instead, we recommend keeping an eye on Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart closer to the big event this coming November.

Black Friday QLED TV deals - what to expect

Samsung Q70T

There are a few displays that we're going to be looking particularly closely at during 2024's Black Friday QLED TV deals. From new releases that are already seeing early discounts to older models that are primed for some hefty reductions, it's likely we'll see a healthy range of prices on the shelves this November.

One of last year's best value QLED options was the TCL Q5, which ended up reduced from $449.99 to $229.99. The 55-inch Hisense A6H also showed up for just $259.99 at Best Buy. We fully expect to see similar budget models show up during 2024, and we might even end up with a few newer screens at a similar price.

As for the higher end of the scale, the Samsung QNED85 is a great example of a screen that dipped below $1,000. It was slashed to $896.99 during the event, and we suspect it might show up for less this year if it's still available. Both the Samsung Q70C and QN70C also ended up with $500 and $1,100 off respectively, but we reckon those prices will drop even further as the line up matures.

As mentioned above, the newbies we'll be thinking about are the Samsung QN85D and Hisense's new U-series range. Models like the U7N are fresh, but should drop to around the $500 mark, while smaller options with lower specs may even dip to around $300.

As for the absolute cheapest you'll pay for an QLED TV this Prime Day, you're looking at around the $300 mark. Amazon, Hisense, and TCL normally occupy this price range, sticking with 50-inches or less in terms of size. Deeper discounts could very well pop up this year depending on the age of specific models and offers applied to rivals, so watch this space for record-breaking savings.

What time of year has best TV deals?

Black Friday is usually the time to grab great TV deals, but discounts will pop up throughout the year. If you do miss out on the big event, you should be able grab a similar discount during Amazon's Prime Day sale.

Is Samsung QLED the same as OLED?

QLED and OLED are completely different types of screen tech, but both have their strengths and weaknesses. QLED (Quantum dot LEDs) are tiny nanocrystals that can change color independently. OLED (Organic LEDs) provide a similar function, but don't need to rely on a separate backlight for illumination. Our tests conclude that the latter produces better colors, contrast, and black levels, where as QLED screens are much brighter and are less suspectable to screen burn and image retention.

I’ve been messing around with PCs, video game consoles, and tech since before I could speak. Don’t get me wrong, I kickstarted my relationship with technology by jamming a Hot Wheels double-decker bus into my parent’s VCR, but we all have to start somewhere. I even somehow managed to become a walking, talking buyer’s guide at my teenage supermarket job, which helped me accept my career fate. So, rather than try to realise my musician dreams, or see out my University degree, I started running my own retro pop culture site and writing about video games and tech for the likes of TechRadar, The Daily Star, and the BBC before eventually ending up with a job covering graphics card shenanigans at PCGamesN. Now, I’m your friendly neighbourhood Hardware Editor at GamesRadar, and it’s my job to make sure you can kick butt in all your favourite games using the best gaming hardware, whether you’re a sucker for handhelds like the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch or a hardcore gaming PC enthusiast.
