Black Friday Xbox deals 2024: The best early offers available already
Black Friday Xbox deals officially start at the end of this month, but we're already seeing offers worth buying.
Black Friday Xbox deals aren't meant to start appearing until Thanksgiving week, but we've already noticed quite a few console bundles and accessories on offer. If you were planning on waiting until the big day to grab the game, console, or accessory you've been wanting this year, it could still be a good plan to hold off and see what discounts come closer to the time. Still, if you want to get ahead of the crowds, we've highlighted the best early offers already going.
We track Xbox deals throughout the year, whether it's accessories we review, newly released games, or bundle offers. Last year, we saw some really great value on bundles most of all - the sheer breadth of games, accessories, and subscriptions that were being passed out with the consoles were excellent incentives for hitting the "buy" button. The best Xbox Series X deals and the lowest Xbox Series S prices come around during Black Friday, so it's worth getting prepped for them.
Since we're still a little over a month away, we've tried to provide helpful information so you know what to expect. We've tried to answer frequently asked questions, and we've rounded up a list of last year's best offers. This way, you can have an idea of what budgets you might need to save throughout the year. If you need a deal before then, check out the ones we've found in the wake of Prime Day.

Black Friday Xbox deals: what to expect
Black Friday Xbox deals in 2024 are going to be hard to predict. We've just had the announcement about the new Xbox Series X and S models, but new bundles, games, and accessories throughout the year have been a bit sparse. The good news about the Xbox consoles is that we now have a wide selection of three for the Series S and three for the Series X, so there's loads of choice to be had. Could the increased Xbox menu mean we get some of them discounted over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period?
In terms of controllers, we're bound to get lucky, because not only have there been a fair few options hit the shelves this year, but there's a pantheon of options lingering out there, many of which are super affordable.
We haven't heard anything about the mid-generation refresh Microsoft seemed to be planning to take on the PS5 Pro. We know the Xbox Series X refresh details came from an FTC lawsuit leak, but the word has been quiet ever since.
Of course, boxed games will be available for a discount during Black Friday, as they always are, and it's easy to see some Xbox Series X hard drives getting price cuts too, especially the official expansion cards from Seagate and WD Black. Beyond that, we'll need to see what Xbox news comes down the pipeline in the next few months.
Black Friday Xbox deals FAQs
When will Black Friday Xbox deals start?
Black Friday Xbox deals will land on November 29 this year, but considering we saw sales properly kick off a few days earlier last year (and in plenty of other years before that) we'd recommend preparing your wallet from the beginning of Thanksgiving Week onwards. We generally see discounts tick up from October onwards, especially since Prime Day events are becoming more widespread at other retailers.

We'll be rounding up all the best Black Friday Xbox deals right here when they land. However, if you're hunting alone you'll want to check out some tried and tested retailers that we've found to offer the biggest discounts in years gone by.

How to get the best Black Friday Xbox deals
Black Friday Xbox deals can move quickly, especially if they're on the latest games or high flying accessories. That's why it pays to have a game plan going into the event. We've been tracking Black Friday for years now, and while Xbox Series X is still fairly new to the event, we've got some tips and tricks that will see you safely to checkout.
1. Know when to buy
You have probably seen offers branded as Black Friday Xbox deals landing from as early as October, however it can pay to wait until at least the start of Thanksgiving before making the leap. That's when we start to see retailers offering larger discounts, with the truly blockbuster offers landing on the Friday itself.
However, it's worth noting that these deals will run out of stock a little quicker - and there's no guarantee that a lower price will be available. If you don't want to fight for it, we'd recommend picking up a good price any time in late November.
2. Stick around
Once you've found your perfect price, it's worth keeping a close eye on the rest of the weekend's offers. Retailers sometimes discount certain colorways or games even further over Cyber Monday, if they aren't performing as well. Keep your original purchase boxed and you might be able to get a better price later on.
3. Learn what a good deal looks like
If you've already got a handful of products on your shopping list, it's time to start tracking their prices. We'd recommend keeping a close eye on the accessories or games you're looking for over the next couple of months, and take note of any significant price drops.
Not only will you know what a good deal looks like on the day, but some products may, in fact, see record low prices that are worth grabbing before Black Friday Xbox Series X deals even begin.
4. Stay in touch
We'll be rounding up all the very best Black Friday Xbox deals right here, which means you can bookmark this page and come back on the day for a curated roundup of the biggest offers available.
Last year's best Black Friday Xbox deals
Xbox Series S (Geek Squad Certified Refurbished) | $299.99 $224.99 at Best Buy
Save $75 - If you're really scraping pennies together, why not go with an open-box Series S? This one was Geek Squad certified as a refurbished model, so you were highly unlikely to run into any issues, and you saved yourself over $70.
Xbox Series S | $299.99 $239.99 at Dell
Save $60 - If you're looking for a more affordable way to tuck into a vast library of Xbox games, the Xbox Series S is a fantastic little console to pick up. With a substantial saving, Black Friday was a great time to snag it for less if you don't want to spend more on its bigger Series X relative.
Xbox Series S 1TB + Starfield | $449.98 $418.98 at Amazon
Save $30 - It wasn't a deep price cut but this got you a Starfield and the latest 1TB, black model of the Game Pass machine in one fell swoop. If you were looking to explore the Settled Systems on the cheap and you don't already own an Xbox or a gaming PC, this was your best bet.
Xbox Series S Gilded Hunter bundle | $299 $269.00 at Walmart
Save $30 - The Gilded Hunter bundle offers free add-ons for Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League. The standard price of the console in the US is $299.99, and although these games are free, you were getting the in-game extras for no extra cost in this deal.
Xbox Series X + Forza Horizon 5 + 3 months of Game Pass | $604.98 $649.48 at Walmart
This bundle was a perfect way to kick off your Xbox Series X library. This bundle gets you Forza Horizon 5, as well as three months of Xbox Game Pass. Forza Horizon 5 is on Game Pass, but this deal was still worth it since you got the Hot Wheels expansion lumped in too, and some Mazepoly accessories for your controller.
Xbox Series X Diablo IV Bundle | $559.99 $439.99 at Walmart
Save $120 - If you aren't worried about a Game Pass subscription, and you're keen to play one of last year's hottest games, the Diablo IV bundle is for you. This got cut multiple times throughout Thanksgiving week, eventually giving you a $120 discount (over $50 more than the previous best price).
Seagate Expansion Card 2TB for Xbox Series X and S | $279.99 $229.99 at Amazon
Save $50 - If you wanted a genuine continuation of the Xbox's speedy internal storage beyond the 1TB mark, the Official Seagate Expansion card was the way to go. Just like the WD Black C50, you're able to quick resume games. The C50 doesn't come in a 2TB version though, so this is your best bet if you need that much room.
PowerA Advantage Controller with Lumectra | $44.99 $34.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - With this nice little saving, you got a brand-new controller and a reel of RGB lighting. This is the updated PowerA Enhanced controller, and alongside its own internal lighting, you can control its free reel of RGB with the gamepad itself.
Turtle Beach Recon Controller | $59.95 $29.95 at Best Buy
Save $30 - The Turtle Beach Recon Controller was back to its record-low price at Best Buy after only dropping to $39.99 in the past (a saving we only saw over Black Friday 2022). Considering you get pro features like remappable buttons and extra audio controls, that was excellent value.
Complete Component Pack for Elite Series 2 | $49.99 $43.99 at Amazon
Save $6 - The official component pack for the Elite Series 2 comes with back paddles, thumbstick options, a 4-way D-Pad, a carry case, and a charging stand. We don't often see the official component pack go on offer, so this wasn't bad at all - especially when paired with the Elite Series 2 Core deal above.

Xbox Series X Diablo IV Bundle | £489.99 £389 at Amazon
Save £100 - This bundle was excellent value for money if you were looking to get your hands on an Xbox Series X. Plus, you get a copy of Diablo 4 with some extra in-game goodies. We gave Blizzard's action RPG full marks in our Diablo 4 review, and this was a great way to experience it and save yourself a pretty penny.
If you're on the other side of the battlefield, we're also rounding up everything we expect to see from Black Friday PS5 deals. Or, if you're staying out of the argument all together, we're also predicting the biggest offers in 2023's Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals. It's also worth getting your eye in for Black Friday gaming headset deals to truly make the most of your new console. You'll also find plenty of Black Friday video game deals on the horizon as well.
