To kick of a game choose the Spanish as they start off with Navigation. After creating your city create 2 warriors and a Galleon load 1 into the galleon and keep the other there. Then sail off in search of friendly villages and artifacts more important the Atlantis artifact which can be found any where on the map on sea squares. If you find Atlantis you will get 3 free techs, the one that you were researching, and 2 other free techs. Note: you can not choose the techs it chooses for you. But this is a great way to gain a lead in Technology

Your civilization has to survive and have the highest score by the year 2100. By that time you win a domination victory automatically. But you only have to destroy one civilization. (That does not include the Barbarians, but you can defeat them too.)
