The Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order lantern puzzle in the Tomb of Miktrall is about lifting burning lanterns and burning away roots and vines that are blocking the way. Weirdly enough, there's actually a couple of solutions to this puzzle, and neither of them feels massively intuitive, partly because they use new mechanics that haven't been fully explained yet.

With that in mind, we'll help explain the solution below, as it involves the burning lanterns, the chains, falling water and the magnetic field all in tandem, and more besides. Here's how you can solve the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order lantern puzzle in the Tomb of Miktrull for yourself.

How to solve the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order lantern puzzle

The Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order lantern puzzle comes at the end of the Tomb of Miktrull on Zeffo. Once you've unlocked the Force Push your objective is to raise the Spire which means reaching the second level where an enormous glass pendulum should be hanging. There will be a spindle by a chain you can Force Pull to lock in place and raise the pendulum up to expose a length of chain entangled in roots.

Once the spire is up, make sure the nearby magnetic field is on - you should have used it earlier to pull out the block you used to climb up. Once it's on and you can see wavy blue lines hitting the wall, head up to the slightly higher part of the second level. Here you'll be able to Force Pull a lantern from the wall that you can use to burn away the roots on the chain. However, the water around the chain will put the flames out, and the lantern will shatter if it touches the floor. To get it where you need it you'll need to throw it at the magnetic field which will catch it and hold it in place against the wall.

Alternatively you can throw it and then use Force Slow on the Lantern while it's in the air to catch it and then race down to catch it. This is the harder option but it does work and might be the solution you first see. The magnetic field on the other hand will hold the lantern in place until you're ready, giving you all the time in the world to drop down, Force Pull the lantern to you and then Force Push it into the roots to burn them and drop the Spire.

With the Spire down you'll release the ball inside that you can then Force Push into the podium to open way forward and watch a recording from Eno Cordovo, before resurfacing in Zeffo to carry on.
