Talk about landing a killer gig. Warner Bros. has revealed it will feature Panic! At the Disco, Daughtry, The Raveonettes, Coheed and Cambria and eight other buzzworthy rock bands in a Batman: Arkham City tribute album slated to drop for retail and digital outlets on October 4th - two weeks before Rocksteady's sequel takes the stage.
Produced in association with DC Entertainment and WaterTower Music, Batman: Arkham City - The Album will include 12 original songs inspired by the Batman universe, with each artist offering their own take on the Caped Crusader and his world. The full track list includes:

The album will be available as a free digital download for Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition owners. Upgrading to the enhanced pack will also be the only way to hear A Place to Bury Strangers' bonus track – assuming it never appears on iTunes or umpteen other (legit) music download sites.
Batman: Arkham City - The Album appears to have a loose connection with the game of the same name (minus 'The Album' part) which is arriving on October 18th in North America and October 21st in the UK. But then, the unique and original nature of its track list make it something more than your average promotional cash-in. Is this something you see adding to your playlist?
