Riddle me this, riddle me that, what kind of packaging can contain ol' Bats? Not just any old plastic apparently, as Amazon has been sending out emails to Bat-fans who pre-ordered the Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition, informing them that a "packaging quality issue" will delay shipment of the game to no later than July 14.
The good news - and yes, there is good news - is that Amazon will be sending download codes to Limited Edition customers so that those who pre-ordered this special version will still be able to play the game tomorrow. A full statement from an Amazon spokesperson, sent to GamesRadar, is below:
"The manufacturer of Batman Arkham Knight has advised us that there has been a packaging quality issue with the Exclusive Limited Edition. To ensure that customers get to play their game on the release date, customers who have pre-ordered this version of the game will receive a code via email to download the full game on Tuesday 23 June. We want to ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled in pristine condition so the game, with the updated packaging, should arrive with customers no later than 14 July, 2015."
Well, in any case, it's better news than those who pre-ordered the (now cancelled) Batmobile Edition got.
