Batman: Arkham Knight DLC kicks into high gear with the Tumbler Batmobile

The Batmobile of Batman: Arkham Knight was already pretty heavily inspired by the Tumbler vehicle from The Dark Knight, but next month you can go back to the source. The 2008 Tumbler Batmobile pack will let players command the armor-plated, killer-caterpillar car in September.

Much like the Batman 1989 pack, the 2008 Tumblr pack also comes with two themed race tracks for you to try your new (old) wheels out on. It doesn't have a new costume themed after the movies, probably because their suits don't look all that different - just do your best grumbly Christian Bale impersonation whenever Kevin Conroy starts talking.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment also confirmed several more DLC packs headed to Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass holders throughout September. The Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #1 will add six AR challenges for Batman, Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman, for training in both combat and predator scenarios, and is planned for release on September 1.

The GCPD Lockdown pack, in which Nightwing tries to foil The Penguin's prison break plans after the events of Arkham Knight, and the Original Arkham Batman Skin, which lets Bruce Wayne don the suit and cowl he wore back in Arkham Asylum, will both release later in September.

Arkham Knight already has a red-trimmed Batman '66 skin for the Batmobile, but I'm still holding out hope for a full conversion, bubble windshield and all...
