Batman kill count video confirms Ben Affleck is the most homicidal movie Batman yet
There were many issues that fans and critics alike had with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but arguably none of them have been as contentious as Batman's complete and utter disregard for his no killing rule. Popular YouTuber Mr Sunday Movies has put together a supercut of the Dark Knight's killing spree in Zack Snyder's divisive movie, and you can check it out below...
Not counting the Knightmare sequence, Batman's final kill count is 21. That makes this take on the character the most murderous yet - the previous high count was 17 in Tim Burton's 1989 film - and the manner of most of those kills left many audiences a little uneasy, to say the least. This is especially true of the Batmobile sequence, which sees Batman murder a host of thugs in his quest to obtain Kryptonite so he can murder Superman. That's...not very heroic.
Thankfully it sounds like Batman won't be committing nightly homicide from Justice League onwards, which is welcome news for many. There is, however, more footage of Batfleck in murderous action in Batman v Superman's Ultimate Edition for those so inclined.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne, and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is available on Digital HD now and is released on DVD and Blu-Ray from July 19, 2016.
