THE ONE WHERE
Ellen Tigh comes back from the dead on a Cylon ship, while Sam remembers his life on Earth.

VERDICT
Phew. The minor news items are Galactica’s poor state of repair and Roslin asking Lee to form a new post-Quorum government, but they pale into insignificance next to lots of revelations. We get a comprehensive Cylon history lesson, and the impressive thing is, absolutely all of it fits with the logic of the show. Here are the facts:

FACT ONE The Final Five were scientists on Earth who rediscovered the 13th Tribe’s technology of resurrection.

FACT TWO When the robot Cylons caused a holocaust, the Five resurrected on a ship in orbit. They travelled to the Colonies to warn them to make friends with the robots.

FACT THREE They arrived too late to prevent the war, but gave the Cylons human models for a ceasefire.

FACT FOUR (John) Cavil knew about the Final Five all along – he was the first human Cylon created, resents his human body and his need for revenge was the driving force behind the attack on the Colonies.

FACT FIVE There used to be a Number Seven Cylon model called Daniel.

Roslin (to Lee): “My only concern about you is that you’re so hellbent on doing the right thing that you sometimes don’t do the smart thing.”
