Bayonetta: Bloody Fate brings the badass witch to life in anime

One of the things that fans of Bayonetta love the most about the series is the cheeky nods to Japanese animation tropes and style. Given that background, it was only a matter of time before the Umbran witch got an anime all her own. Released in Japan some months ago, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate sees release in the US just in time for the launch of Bayonetta 2. Meanwhile, the UK will have to wait a few more weeks to see it for themselves. But what's so special about Bloody Fate?

Well, there's the fact that the film already has really strong import reviews, which praise how it's very true to the series and how great the events of the first game look when animated. Then there's the fact that the game's English voice cast reprises their roles in the anime, making the release even more true to form. You can see the results for yourself in the extended (NSFW-ish) trailer below:

If you simply can’t get enough of the this angel asskicker, or you want a quick refresher on the events of the first game before playing the sequel, then you'll want this Blu-ray ASAP. Now, flock off, feather-face.
