Ben Wheatley confirms Tom Hiddleston for High-Rise
Will star in J.G. Ballard adaptation
Ben Wheatley’s next big-screen project is set to be an adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s High-Rise , and the director has just confirmed his leading man as none other than Tom Hiddleston.
Wheatley took to Twitter this morning to confirm that cameras would start rolling on the project in June, before revealing that Hiddleston would be his leading man.
The director also tweeted a poster for the new film, complete with Hiddleston’s name in top billing, getting us rather excited by the prospect of two of our very favourite movie people teaming up.

The film will adapt Ballard’s tale of an isolated community, cut off from the rest of society in their luxury tower block, that eventually fragments into a group of violent tribes.
Wheatley is currently polishing off the first two episodes of the new series of Doctor Who , before getting stuck into pre-production on the new film. We can hardly wait...
