A handful of the hottest games for Sony's portable powerhouse
LocoRoco
Publisher: SCEA
Developer: Sony Computer Entertainment Japan
Release Date: 09/05/2006
LocoRoco was one of the best things we'd ever seen before E3, and that opinion hasn't changed since the show. Deceptively simple, stunningly creative and impossibly happy, this cute little action-puzzler lets you guide an ever-growing herd of singing blobs around a 2D world, hunting for secrets and bopping shadowy enemies. A few other games came close, but this is the one that PSP owners won't want to be without when fall rolls around.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
After graduating from college in 2000 with a BA in journalism, I worked for five years as a copy editor, page designer and videogame-review columnist at a couple of mid-sized newspapers you've never heard of. My column eventually got me a freelancing gig with GMR magazine, which folded a few months later. I was hired on full-time by GamesRadar in late 2005, and have since been paid actual money to write silly articles about lovable blobs.
