Biel wants to be a Mob Girl
Stars and produces new crime thriller...
Jessica Biel will be giving the boys a run for their money in this year’s A-Team flick, but that doesn’t mean she’s done being an action heroine.
The actress has reportedly signed on to star in and produce a rape revenge film called Mob Girl .
Pajiba report that she would play a mob mistress who is raped and never escapes the demons that event creates. She infiltrates the mob to gather evidence against her attacker, a crime bross, and send him to jail.
Based on the true life story of Arlyn Brickman, and Teresa Carpenter’s book Mob Girl , the film looks set to be directed by An Education ’s Lone Scherfig.
The Danish director has previously expressed an interest in shooting a gangster film, so this would be a perfect fit for her.
Earlier this year, Scherfig told the LA Times that “exploring the criminal mind is truly interesting and something I haven’t done. I’m interested in someone more violent and more flawed.”
At present a writer is being sought, but with Biel and Scherfig attached it surely won’t be long before this gets a greenlight.
