BioShock cosplay done at an aquarium is done right
Would you kindly dress up as a splicer and pose?

When cosplay is done right it can be awesome; but when it’s done perfectly, it can be damn near magical. That’s likely the best way to describe the BioShock cosplay that took place at Dragon*Con’s “Night at Georgia Aquarium” last week, where group of Irrational staff members took to the aquarium looking for BioShock cosplayers. Saying they “hit the jackpot” would be an understatement.
Beyond your typical assortment of splicers in bloody masquerade masks, guys dressed like Andrew Ryan, and people carrying around NECA’s EVE Hypos and other pre-made props, several dedicated fans created their own Big Daddy, Big Sister, and Little Sister outfits with awesome results. With the help of a professional photographer, Irrational took advantage of the atmospheric aquarium to take some fantastic pictures of the talented, dedicated cosplayers in action, and if you didn’t think that you wanted to see a big-budget BioShock movie before, these images will surely push you over the edge.
As a bonus, Irrational also posted a video of a little girl dressed as a Little Sister singing the “Mr. Bubbles” song, which is perfect for anyone who never, ever, ever wants to sleep again. Be warned: it’s as creepy as it sounds, if not more. Check that video out and some of our favorite photos from the event in our gallery below. You can see a complete selection of photos on Irrational Games’ blog.
