Irrational Games has announced plans to release a BioShock Infinite DLC season pass.
The game went gold earlier this week ahead of the BioShock Infinite release date of March 26, and the studio said today that production of DLC has recently begun.
The BioShock Infinite season pass will offer access to three planned add-ons packs providing “hours of additional gameplay” that continues “the player’s journey in the sky-city of Columbia with new stories, characters, abilities and weapons”.
Season pass buyers will also receive access four pieces of exclusive gear: a machine gun damage upgrade, a pistol damage upgrade, a gold skin for both weapons and five “Infusion bottles that allow players to increase their health, their shield durability or their ability to use Vigors by increasing the quantity of Salts they can carry”.
If purchased individually the three DLC packs will cost a combined total of $30, but bought upfront with the season pass they’ll be available for $19.99 on PS3 and PC, and 1,600 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 ($20.00 / £13.71 / €19.20).
