Well, Hollywood is spoiling all our fun now.
First, we had to check if it was April Fool’s day when Darren Aronofsky signed up for RoboCop.
Then we did a second take when Sam Mendes was attached to The Preacher.
And now… Michel Gondry to direct The Green Hornet?
Yep. That’s right. According to Variety the man who gave us Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and The Science Of Sleep will be bringing the masked ’30s radio crimefighter to the screen with Seth (Pineapple Express) Rogan starring and writing the script.
Stephen (King Fu Hustle) Chow was to have directed the film, but dropped out after "creative differences". Bizarrely, however, he remains in the film playing The Green Hornet’s sidekick Kato.
The film is due for release on 25 June, 2010.
