Black Friday Xbox deals 2024: The best early offers available already

Black Friday Xbox deals

Black Friday Xbox deals are coming thick and fast now, especially if you're shopping for a console. A few retailers in the US and UK have now cut the costs of Series X and S machines, and accessories are following suit. There's more than one way to access Xbox games these days though, and we're seeing Game Pass deals, accessory deals, and plenty of physical games getting discounts too. We've spotlighted our favorite deals down below.

We track Xbox deals throughout the year, whether it's accessories we review, newly released games, or bundle offers. Last year, we saw some really great value on bundles most of all - the sheer breadth of games, accessories, and subscriptions that were being passed out with the consoles were excellent incentives for hitting the "buy" button. The best Xbox Series X deals and the lowest Xbox Series S prices come around during Black Friday, so it's worth getting prepped for them.

Directly below, you'll find the top discounts we've hunted down across consoles, games, and accessories. These are deals that we'd recommend jumping on now, even if Black Friday is still a few weeks away. If you aren't quite ready to pull the trigger, we've supplied answers to the questions you might be asking about the big sale. As a special treat, you can also find a list of last year's best Xbox deals, which we hope might give you an idea of what sort of money you should spend this year to get a good deal.

Black Friday Xbox deals: what to expect

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

Black Friday Xbox deals in 2024 are going to be hard to predict. We've just had the announcement about the new Xbox Series X and S models, but new bundles, games, and accessories throughout the year have been a bit sparse. The good news about the Xbox consoles is that we now have a wide selection of three for the Series S and three for the Series X, so there's loads of choice to be had. Could the increased Xbox menu mean we get some of them discounted over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period?

In terms of controllers, we're bound to get lucky, because not only have there been a fair few options hit the shelves this year, but there's a pantheon of options lingering out there, many of which are super affordable.

We haven't heard anything about the mid-generation refresh Microsoft seemed to be planning to take on the PS5 Pro. We know the Xbox Series X refresh details came from an FTC lawsuit leak, but the word has been quiet ever since.

Of course, boxed games will be available for a discount during Black Friday, as they always are, and it's easy to see some Xbox Series X hard drives getting price cuts too, especially the official expansion cards from Seagate and WD Black. Beyond that, we'll need to see what Xbox news comes down the pipeline in the next few months.

When will Black Friday Xbox deals start?

Black Friday Xbox deals will land on November 29 this year, but considering we saw sales properly kick off a few days earlier last year (and in plenty of other years before that) we'd recommend preparing your wallet from the beginning of Thanksgiving Week onwards. We generally see discounts tick up from October onwards, especially since Prime Day events are becoming more widespread at other retailers.

How to get the best Black Friday Xbox deals

Black Friday Xbox deals can move quickly, especially if they're on the latest games or high flying accessories. That's why it pays to have a game plan going into the event. We've been tracking Black Friday for years now, and while Xbox Series X is still fairly new to the event, we've got some tips and tricks that will see you safely to checkout.

1. Know when to buy
You have probably seen offers branded as Black Friday Xbox deals landing from as early as October, however it can pay to wait until at least the start of Thanksgiving before making the leap. That's when we start to see retailers offering larger discounts, with the truly blockbuster offers landing on the Friday itself.

However, it's worth noting that these deals will run out of stock a little quicker - and there's no guarantee that a lower price will be available. If you don't want to fight for it, we'd recommend picking up a good price any time in late November.

2. Stick around
Once you've found your perfect price, it's worth keeping a close eye on the rest of the weekend's offers. Retailers sometimes discount certain colorways or games even further over Cyber Monday, if they aren't performing as well. Keep your original purchase boxed and you might be able to get a better price later on.

3. Stay in touch
We'll be rounding up all the very best Black Friday Xbox deals right here, which means you can bookmark this page and come back on the day for a curated roundup of the biggest offers available.

4. Learn what a good deal looks like
If you've already got a handful of products on your shopping list, it's time to start tracking their prices. We'd recommend keeping a close eye on the accessories or games you're looking for over the next couple of months, and take note of any significant price drops.

Not only will you know what a good deal looks like on the day, but some products may, in fact, see record low prices that are worth grabbing before Black Friday Xbox Series X deals even begin.
