Black Ops 2 Wii U leaked in magazine scans
CoD returns to Nintendo's domain
Both Black Ops 2 and the Nintendo Wii U are a pretty big deal. Both are virtually guaranteed to sells millions upon millions of units this November, so it makes sense that the two would want to partner up. However, up until today there was no indication Activision would be bringing the biggest game in the world to Wii U.
Today that changed as scans of the UK's Nintendo Gamer magazine hit the web featuring a preview of Black Ops 2 for Wii U. And this isn't looking like a mistake as was the case in the Game Informer/Tomb Raider Wii U rumor. That said, there isn't much Wii U-specific information involved. Other than a brief half-sentence mention at the very end, this could be a preview for any system. The end of the preview teases the next issue's reveal of Wii U gameplay.
Call of Duty has a pretty stellar history of quality on the Wii, even if that's not saying much. Almost every game in the CoD series since CoD4 has been on the Wii and managed to provide a solid experience despite the control limitations. With the new Wii U tablet controller we're really interested to see where they go. With so much emphasis on piloting drones, it'd be neat to see simultaneous drone-view on the tablet while playing on the big screen.
We'll have to wait for next month (or an official Activision reveal) to find out more about that, however.
