Bond 24 finds replacement for Roger Deakins
Hoyte van Hoytema to look after cinematography
Bond 24 looks to have found a replacement for cinematographer Roger Deakins, with Dutchman Hoyte van Hoytema set to sign on as director of photography.
It was something of a disappointment to hear that Deakins would not be returning to the fold after doing such a stellar job on Skyfall , although van Hoytema certainly comes with real pedigree.
Having made waves with his work on the original Let The Right One In , he recently worked on both Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy and Her , and was also hand-picked by Christopher Nolan to shoot Interstellar .
It has also been rumoured that after making the leap to digital on Skyfall , Bond 24 will be shot on film, a technique van Hoytema also employed on Interstellar .
Directed by Sam Mendes and starring the returning Daniel Craig, Bond 24 will open in the UK on 23 October 2015.
