A lot of the Dark Knight’s attacks sacrifice a percentage of his own HP to deal out additional damage to your party and he relies heavily on dark attacks. Equip your party with dark resistant accessories and abilities and have a healer or plenty of phoenix downs and potions to counteract the damage caused by his Minus Strike ability.

This will damage a single target by an amount equal to the HP he has lost so far--so potentially a 9,999 damage attack. As long as you’re suitably prepared, you should be able to focus on defeating Alternis as swiftly as possible.
