Breaking! Honey Badger team unlockable in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition

That’s right, folks, the announcement you’ve been waiting for is finally here. NBA Jam’s downloadable On Fire Edition is due out later this year, and while the game’s signature brand of zany basketball fun is renowned, the game is possibly even better known for unlockable characters. In the past, players have been able to hit the court with politicians and celebrities and now, for the first time, they’ll be able to play on a team consisting of three honey badgers. Yes, we’re serious.

For 15,000 JAM Bucks (the game’s currency) you’ll be able to play as Feisty, Sleepy and, Nasty – the three Honey Badgers that make up the team of anthropomorphic mellivora capensis. EA Sports has released a trailer to get you pumped up for the team, and even tapped renowned nature documentary narrator Randall to record voiceover for the trailer, providing the necessary razzle-dazzle that his fans know him for.

Take a look, and let us know if you plan on spending your hard-earned JAM Bucks on this team or if you – like the honey badgers in question – don’t care.
