Eiji Aonuma has revealed some tantalizing details about upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC. "The Champions' Ballad," Aonuma explained at Japan Expo in Paris, will be set after Ganon's defeat and will focus largely on Zelda. You know those Captured Memories scattered across Hyrule that let you dive deeper into Zelda's past? It looks like Champions' Ballad will pick up right after those.

Although the story will focus on Hyrule's most famous princess, players will still control Link. If ever there will be a day where the Legend of Zelda focuses on the character in the title and not the mute elf out to rescue her, that day is not today.
Much like how Breath of the Wild's first DLC added in costume references to games and characters from the series' past, so too will Champions' Ballad. Remember Link's blue lobster shirt from Wind Waker? Here's what it looks like on a less cartoony version of our hero:

The Champions' Ballad is scheduled to arrive on Switch and Wii U this holiday season.
