Bryan Cranston set to join Marc Forster's World War Z
World's busiest actor eyeing a small role
Breaking Bad 's Bryan Cranston is continuing to cement his rep as Hollywood's most in-demand actor with a role in World War Z .
The Hollywood Reporter has the news that Cranston is close to landing a "small but flashy" role in the zombie apocalypse thriller.
Brad Pitt is starring in the adaptation of the Max Brooks novel (as well as producing), while Marc Forster ( Finding Neverland , Quantum Of Solace ) is directing.
Cranston recently had to drop out of role in Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad because his schedule was getting too jam-packed.
Among his recently completed projects, he can name Steven Soderbergh's Contagion , John Carter , Drive , George Lucas-produced WW2 actioner Red Tails , and the Batman: Year One animated adap.
On the go at the moment, the greedy thesp has musical Rock Of Ages , the Total Recall reboot, and Ben Affleck's Argo .
It looks like we'll be seeing a lot of him over the coming months, which is no bad thing. To be fair, he's done pretty well for himself just getting to the stage where we no longer call him 'Malcolm's dad'...
World War Z is expected to be released sometime next year.
